Chilhowee Rod & Gun Club Members Meeting  - November 16, 2020

Your committee chairmen will be appointed by Club President in accordance with Club Bylaws:

•  Jack Isbill - Archery Chairman
•  Jennifer Brooks - Clubhouse and grounds Chairman
• Tom Cockrell - Skeet Chairman
• Derek Donovan - Pistol Chairman
• Jason Qualls and Bill Cowles - Rifle Chairman
•  Ed Lane – Lake Chairman

•     Due to COVID-19 Club will be waiving all requirements for work days.  We will still have them but will not Count against a member for not attending a work day in 2020.

Many of our members and their loved ones have achieved the great age of 60 plus and some may have conditions that can be adversely impacted by COVID. For Club Meetings we will provide free mask and hand sanitizer prior to entry into the club house for members that wish to use these items. Club recommends for everyone's safety you wear a mask or use the free mask.

It is a recommendation not a requirement.

*********Membership Renewal for 2021 begins in October thru December 31, 2020. ALL MEMBERS need to fill out a Club Renewal form and submit to Treasurer with payment before December 31, 2020. If you wish to have your new card mailed to you please include a self addressed AND stamped envelope with your renewal and payment. For 2020 the renewal is $100.00 for everyone as listed above due to COVID 19. IF you do not get your renewal in by December 31, 2020 you may be charged $200.00 to renew.********

·         Continued discussion - need to coordinate nomination and election of all 4 Club officers for 2021. Committee established as follows: Russell Smith, Ed Lane, Andrew Dubman, and Linda Starnes. Andrew Dubman has stepped up for the Secretary nominee. 

·         Membership and Board approved following new members: Eric Blassingame, Dwayne Liner, Robert Torbett and Bill Risko

·         Membership and Board are awaiting Letters of agreement for Athens APD for range usage. No update as of yet.

·         George Inwood was presented a new muzzleloader for all his work and effort on the rifle range. November 19^th Jack Isbell and the Venturing Crew will be using the club but club will be open to member use also.

·         Gravel has been approved for pistol and rifle ranges. 

·        Reminder... There will be no club banquet this year due to Covid restrictions.  NRA annual banquet will be November 19th at Athens Regional Park.  See Tom Cockrell for tickets and details. 

·         President mentioned that minors should have adults accompanying them when using the club facilities. 

·         Club gate should be closed by members upon entry and exit. Club gate may be left open for planned activities that have been approved by Club Officials and Directors. Should someone be hurt on our property we will need to prove due diligence with access to the property.

·         Read club range rules and display your membership cards while shooting at the range.
